For one hundred years, the brethren of Eastern Star Lodge have kept their stated communications on the second Wednesday — through wars, lean years, and generations of Rehoboth families. The work does not change much, and that is the point.
Freemasonry is a course of self-improvement taught in allegory: tools as virtues, the temple as the soul. Any man of good character who believes in a Supreme Being may petition — and every brother was once a stranger at the door.
